I'm dropped using the gixxer setup and currently have the rears trimmed a tad. I'm considering rolling the rears flat this weekend in prep for the wheels.

If they work for you, then do it. Aren't all wheels copies of everyone else's designs anyway?

My cheap $600 xxr's are still holding up well after 3 years of service. They were on three different cars it's been close to 25k miles of tough life in bad ca roads. Only drawback is that they're heavier than $3000 wheels.

Are these wheels still not out yet? I have seen them all over car magazines for a while now...

5 pages in this thread and no pics.

AMS is so cheap they use Rotas on one of the fastest Evo's. They must break after every run.

Wheels are all the same just depends how it is made (Forged, Cast, etc...) Most are probably made from the same factory anyways and would all have to pass the same standards. I'm sure if Rotas/XXR's were 3 piece forged they would be just as pricey as your usual works, volks, and so on.

500 a rim you can buy one piece work wheels..
i came to realize that if you want to stand out...you gotta pay..i'm saving over the winter for a set of works.
these works are about 600 a wheels btw, not to mention you get the the width you want( which is hard with these cheap brands) and custom offset just for your car.

going straight on a set of slicks that have 10" side wall is defenatly different then riding on a 2-3" sidewall and hitting potholes on the streets. Look i'm not against knock offs i have a set and will probably keep them and put them on the gs, but i've seen the quality of the real wheels and the way they look in person and i'm convinced that real is the way to go...save your money you'll be happy in the long run.

No matter what wheel you're running if you keep hitting potholes it'll break. One of the fastest time attack Subaru runs Rotas too and it has big wheels with low pro tires and doesn't go in just a straight line. A Professor is a Knock off of a Meister and so is a D2. I'm sure if that D2 was a forged 3 piece wheel it'll be in the same price range because of cost of production. I think some people are just confused from knock off to cheap and from forged to cast. Obviously you get what you pay for but don't be fooled by the fad and just buy expensive things because people say this and that. A cast Work will hold up to a pothole the same as a cast XXR.
