Tune Up - What am I missing?
I've been trying to do a tune up on the car so to speak and refresh the suspension (later time on the suspension).
So far I've done.
What else should I do at this point tune up wise?
I think so far I'm looking at flushing all fluids and filling. (Diff, Transmission, Coolant, PS Fluid). Do the dealerships have a special machine that does it better or should I just do it in the driveway.
Thanks!
So far I've done.
- Spark Plugs - NGK Iridium Plugs
- Spark Plug Wires - "Xact Fit" Wires
- Timing Belt - Done by P.O.
- Dizzy Cap & Rotor - Bosch [I think, it was from Advanced Auto Parts
- O2 Sensors - Rockauto [Both Replaced]
- Timing - Readjusted the timing from P.O. from 25* of advance back down to 10*
- Oil - Running Mobil 1 High Mileage 5W20 w/ Mobil 1 Oil Filter
What else should I do at this point tune up wise?

Water Pump
Distributor O ring
Cam seals
Valve cover gaskets
Front/rear main seal
Upper and lower radiator hoses
Thermostat
PCV Valve
MISC vaccuum hoses that look worn out
Throttle body clense, mine was NASTY
I know all of that is over kill but if you're planning to keep the car, you might as well go ahead and do it.
Do all of the flushes and make SURE to use OEM toyota replacements for Antifreeze and transmission fluid. They do have machines that help them do it, but you can go to advance and get their radiator flush stuff and do just as good of a job, just make sure to replace with Toyota Red.

I also agree with what carfreak70 said about cleaning the whole intake track (TB, Y-pipe, plenum, etc). It usually looks like black tar inside there. If you really want to go all out with your maintenance, better include that.

I did see a incredible amount of black on the TB back buttery fly whenever I changed plugs and cleaned it out. I did the Seafoam into the Intake Manifold VAC area hoping to clean a little more of it out. Should I take it past this?
Do I need to replace the front/rear main seals if they are not leaking?
Water Pump - Changed already it looks like
Distributor O ring - Need to do this, leaking onto the alternator a bit
Cam seals - Not leaking, should I still do this?
Valve cover gaskets - Same thing as above
Front/rear main seal - Same thing as above
Upper and lower radiator hoses - Does anyone make any silicon replacements like Samco? I could do this at the same time of replacing the coolant, and change the t-stat out too.
Thermostat

if your opening everything up, might as well change up regardless if its not leaking

Change everything you can. Honestly we all know this is a huge chore but it's worth it if you are planning on keeping the car. If you are going to sell it in less than a year, don't bother. A tune up on our cars is big $$$!!! I was quoted $1,200 for just the timing belt and water pump last year. I've checked out DIY videos and honestly, this is something I don't want to handle. Especially since my car is a daily driver and need it back on the road first thing Monday morning.
