Since 1991, the SC has always used projector low beams.

Didnt they have driving lights in 93, 94, etc? My 93 has them.....AKA city lights.....but I heard they then stopped for a few years, or are the 99 DRL diff. than the 93 or 94s?

I think DRL on the 92's are using the lowbeams
DRL on the 95's are using the highbeams @ 1/2 power.

DRLs are a different feature from city lights. DRLs were "invented" in the theory that it would reduce/prevent daytime low-visibility related accidents by leaving lamps on at ALL times (except if you disable them). These times would fall between when it's too bright for your autolights to activate, yet visibility is still impaired by fog, rain, dust, etc. To this day there are no figures or statistics to prove that they are even effective. City lights were invented for, well, city driving where there is an abundance of light already and headlights---which are regularly used to illuminate the road ahead of you---aren't neccessary. They have two different purposes. City lights came in the '92 models, DRLs in the '99s.

Ah ok...that makes sense. So the latter years light is similar to how some Camaros and Vettes have the orange light on all the time.....
So basically in appearance....on the SC at least, isnt much diff. between the city and driving light, besides the driving light maybe being a little more brighter and coming from the high beam....
