Very nice.

Did you use the DGR mounts? I'm looking to do the same swap but apparently DGR no longer makes mounts.

Also how was the wiring?

Well what do u wanna know, its a sc300 with dgr mounts, a LQ4 with a 4L80E tranny,
It has LS6 intake and soon to be lq9 heads.

I made it fit with a 30 lb sledge hammer and a saws all,

I started the swap with a dropout from a 2000 chevy, and a 94 lexus sc300.

i did the swap with harborfreight engine hoist, and 3 harbor freight jacks,
and all hand tools. started it on September 15th, 2010

Wow good call on the LQ4- SUPER cheap. The 4l80e I'm guessing you had some clearance issues with hence the sledge hammers

If the Lexus engine weren't so damn dependable you'd see this a lot. Anyone with a late 80's / early 90's Jag XJ knows how to swap a chevy v8 in because it is so common they have it down to a weekend job. If you breathe on an XJ engine it breaks so they just swap Chevy v8's in them.

We'd see that a lot here as well if we didn't have the superior engines. They are old so they don't pound out power, but they run forever!

6 liters is a lot of POTENTIAL power. If you have an engine that is best pulling boats and torque, you don't wanna drag with it and vice versa so it depends on what you do with the 6 liters. This is really more of a truck engine, but it has plenty of room for improvement.

It's a helluva base to start with though!
