The 2.5 Twin Turbo?
#18
Did I just take a photo of a JAP toyota then? I've never seen one with that badge on the grill. Must have been fun to have a stock TT in a Jap soarer with a 6 speed manual in Japan.
1) That Supra was/is owned by an enthusiast who has swapped a 1JZGTE and has found the 2.5 twin turbo badge off of a JDM JZA70 to match.
2) It's a right-hand-drive JDM JZA70 and came from the factory like that.
As for the performance of there motors in our cars, it seems to suit it well. Whereas I find the SC400 is just adequately powered for its weight, the Soarer has power to spare. The manual transmission option with this motor was a 5-speed.

Seems like the Soarer would do really well with this motor mated to a 5spd. Was it 1992-1995 in Japan. The Supra changed its body style and engine to a 2JZ. I really like the history to the JZ motor. A great story.

you know when i first got into the sc scene i was totally for my 1uz and against the i6's.
But ive changed---I would really like to get a 1jz and boost it to kingdome come.
These engines were very well built from what i can tell.
