With the unfortunate events recently in japan, its not an if but when we'll start having a shortage of engines and prices start going thru the roof again. There are a few suppliers here in florida that i know who's containers are nowhere to be found in existence. So with that being said. GET ER DONE! and keep the Japs in your prayers.

I was thinking about this earlier. But I would say there will probably be more front clips.

GTE swap has been in my head, but I think that I may be sticking with the tried and true NA-T.

Prayers going out to Japan for sure. First a Tsunami, and now the possibility of radiation. How much worse is it going to get?

they are around but remember that your average aristo and supra are dismantled and scrapped by 50-60km. being military i have some friends in okinawa, misawa and osaka japan ive trying to have someone get me a getrag for some times now and i get the same answer. You dont see ANY JZ or RB engines in the junk yards, and RARELY you'll find one come in. You do find plenty of turbo timers, boost controller and stand alones but no engines. With that being said and most engines are sent to the uk, au, caribbean and the biggest consumer being the states, Good Luck!

Im not going to knock you. Truthfully, if i didnt have the cheapest 2jz manual single turbo swap done on this forum i would have bought a 300 and went NA-T. I've seen the history of the highest hp and fastest members and most of them are NA-T and they hold the power long and more reliably than gte cars. But when it comes to eclipsing 500whp it harder for the GE head to breath like the GTE which can be fixed easily but i prefer the way a GTE looks in the engine bay... its just so so clean.
