Question New Seats

Well, its that time, after ten years, my seats are starting to crack enough to turn into rips (those girls can get rough ).....So Ive got options I know but I just dont know what would look the best....so I ask you guys, what do you think I should do (from experience of seeing other peoples cars, maybe your own...) Get that leather repair kit, buy new sc300 seats from toyota, sparco torino's, momo's....I mean the list goes on and on, but your opinions??
Thanks,
Buck

As long as you don't get the Sparco or Momo. They would look like the belong in a Honda. If you want sport seats, get Toyota Supra. They're 1" lower, otherwise get stock one or get yours re-done.

Hi Rhart00,
how long has it been since you used the repair kit?
I tried a similar product on fav leather chair once, but it didn't last long (about 8 months).
Thanks

PS love the mods to the car.
did you make the anti photo licence plate screen yourself?
I hear hairspray also works pretty well it you layer on a few coats to the plate.

If you got the cash I'd go for new seats. They wont be all beaten and the stuffing will be nice and fresh. The leather will be perfect and you wont have to worry about it for a long time. Thats just what I think. Its not cheap but new seats would be nice

I think when I priced it out.. A new factory leather seat cover (the leather skin that covers the foam seat) is about $980 per front seat. New foam was about $300 per front seat. Installation is about $400 per seat.

New entire seats would be about $2900 each because of all the motors etc...

If you are planning on spending $7000 on new seat for your Lexus...you may consider just buying a new car.

For the $700 for new seat covers from www.leatherseats.com you can cover the fronts, rears, and customize them to your taste. I went for full factory replacement with perforated leather centers. Several people have seen my car and think it is better than stock.

Oh yeah.. I checked the foam and it did not need replacement.

Question Heaters Out

Have you guys ever replaced or fixed your heated seats? I'm in Chicago and would love some bun-warmth. I was told they can't be fixed, only replaced.

Hmm.....leatherseats.com sounds really interesting....I like the idea of black and tan interior...pcmw, when you say seat "covers" you mean like a cover as in the kind you just pull over the seat or you actually replace the leather....and is it obvious that its a pullover or does it look like a professional job?
Thanks,
