Kick ***. I hope to get back to Okinawa one day as a touron, but with airfare where it is and all that stuff, I doubt I will. Enjoy your time over there man.

Main land is cool, but with the radiation crisis going on, I wouldn't want to be over there. Not too safe to say the least.

lol what proof do I need-----something more than just hearsay.

My question to you is,

where can 'I' find a vvt turbo soarer with low mileage and modded out for $2000.00, cause i want to go buy one or more of them.

thanks
You can get them for $2-3K but there is still the fact you have to spend about $2-2.5k getting it over here after all is said and done.

You can buy S14 silvias for $1000 USD but by the time you get it here it won't really be worth the price, its a better option to buy an sr20 and swap it into a USDM S14.

If you are looking to import a car you should really just buy something that was never sold here even as a lexus. JZX90s are awesome cars, so are earlier model soarers ie: mz20.

I personally own a clean 91 JZZ30 factory 5 speed, Im guessing it only had about 60,000km or so on it when it was imported since I bought it at 108,000km and it had been here for many years already. At the price I paid for it you would have to have found it in japan for around 150,000yen. Then add the $2k to import it here and you have the price I paid for it, and there was no way you would be able to get the soarer I have for 150,000 yen.

Christ these cars are cheap now...

I purchased my mint late 97 VVTi for about AUD$20k with 53k (32k miles) on the clock. Mind you this was about 5 or 6 years ago now. As Relapser said though, the market varies so much but it always pays to buy something a little cleaner for a bit more coin. Many of the super cheap ones have been obviously wound back, with many "80k km" examples showing more wear than my 1991 Limited with over 170k on the clock.

At their age now, Soarers are starting to become long in the tooth and would only recommend an enthusiast to venture out to buy one. They do demand up keep (especially the older UZZ31/2's) and are simply not worth the hassle for ordinary drivers.

To the OP congrats on the new purchase, make sure you post up some pics
