HIDs from DDM do not start initially
bought the 55w 6000k slim hids from ddm tuning since i heard they were good and werent too expensive. installed them but when i turn them on the first time, one will not turn on. ill have to turn it off and on a couple times to get both of them to work. i upgraded the 15 amp fuse to a 20 and it does take less on and off cycles to get them both on. can anyone shed some light? P.S. is it just me or is it hard as hell to find the fog light fuse inside the car? i see it on the diagram but not on the car

I have the same kit and the same thing does the same on mine. I would have to turn them OFF then ON again.
This may be normal cause I seen a few vehicles on the road with HIDs running on one headlight. I dont know if its product(DMM) failure or just aftermarket HIDs in general.

I have HID foglights in my jeep and I managed to reverse the polarity. I had them installed for a long time then had to unplug them for some reason and when I put them back they didn't work. Took me a while before I realized just because the plugs aren't directional doesn't mean they can't be in wrong.
I also had to upgrade the wiring to get them to both fire first try. The more you turn HIDs on and off the faster you kill the bulbs. They are supposed to be allowed 90 seconds or something between turning on/off and off/on to prolong life.
Good luck replacing bulbs with DDM I herd it was a nightmare and easier to just buy new ones, otherwise DDM is great.

Yeah pulling your power through your stock thing gauge headlight wiring is a bad deal. Go with a harness that plugs in directly to your cars battery and then plugs into one of your headlight plugs as a switch signal ONLY (pulls no power). You will get your most reliable setup that way.

I've run mine for the past six months with no issues and no relay kit on automatic head lights flickering on and off all the time.
The only kit I've ever had that "needed" the relay kit was a 9007 hi/LOW kit.
Theres a reason why HIDs use less wattage. The only issue that it can have is the first start up if you've got issues with your car in the first place.
