These mods are to a V8 Soarer, but here goes:

18" AME Copies... 6/10 Looks wise they get 8/10 (would love 19"s), but they are too skinny and the chrome isnt so nice. Guess thats what i get for buying second hand. Cant afford the real thing so i guess i'm stuck...

97 front end conversion... 9/10 Its great to stand out out of a crowd of Soarers (99% are pre '97 here), and it just looks so much tougher. Would love to get a lip kit for it, but unfortunately the only one available is the Wise kit which looks tacky IMO. Definitely transforms the car.

'95 Taillight conversion (soon to be cleared)... 8/10, again great to stand out, and definitely my favourite lights. WOuld love CLEAR/red though not pink/red

20%Chrome mirror tint... 10/10... I was worried it would look wierd on a dark car but it has transformed it. Definitely P.I.M.P. (IMO anyway )

10" Blaupunkt PCwi1000 sub and Kenwood 2x100w amp (bridged)... 10/10. I have never heard any other setup that comes close to this in the stock location. The amount of bass this thing generates is incredible (feels more like 2x12s in the boot).

BFI... 10/10... Sound factor is awesome, and fuel economy went up (cant ask for more huh?)

Useless in the states. People just get them for the jdm bling bling factor..
some also have parking antanna, so they can see how close their front bumper is to another car.
those japanese people do park crazy..

Oh yeah, my Soarer has the fold-in mirrors (great for tight parking spaces) and a reverse sensor, thankfully no parking pole lol

My SC3 needed new struts when I bought it, so I had an Eibach spring kit installed with Tokico shocks (bought from Overboost.com). Replaced the Firestone OEM size (215/60-15) tires with Dunlop SP Sport A2 in 225/60-15, which still fits on the factory wheel.

I'm very happy with the results. I have a car with much more responsive handling, superior traction, and considerably less body roll in the turns. No more problems with the tail end cutting loose. Car rides about 1" lower than stock, so going over speed bumps and parking up against curbs requires a bit of caution. Also looks cool. It makes the ride a little rougher for the folks in the back seat, but not intolerably so. Better sense of contact with the road.

Ral

Windows will be tinted by tomorrow. I'm probably forgetting something but that's how it goes.
It's hard to rate my mods. I think my car looks great and would rate it an overall 7. Engine mods would improve my score. Maybe some 3 piece wheels would improve it. Definitely need better ice but it is better than most peoples. Maybe that score should be 8. I don't rate my car, just want it to look good and be individual from any other I see.

You think the Wisesports looks tacky. Look at my sig. To me, it's worth every penny I paid beause it's not too aggressive but it changes the look. Not many others have it was a big factor for me. I bought the 97+ conversion and returned it in favor of the lip. I know taste is an individual thing but tacky? I don't see it. Not even close.

GARRETT/Turbonetics T04E-60: 10/10, but would like a larger one soon or later
3” Mandrel-Bent Down pipe w/ Closed-Loop Waste gate Discharge: Can't tell the diff. since I don't have exhaust
Intercooler: Spearco Large Front-Mount (28x6.5x3.5): 7/10, would like a larger one
Head Gasket: rIDEAL 8.5:1 Compression Ratio: 10/10, without it I wouldn't be boosting
Turbo Timer: Greddy: 10/10, works great
Boost Controller: Greddy Profec B Spec II: 7/10, would prefer a gear dependent boost controller
Spark Plugs: Iridium 3330’s: 10/10 can't tell the diff. but I sure they do the job
Fuel Pump: Walbro: 10/10, works good
ECU: Greddy E-Manage: 10/10, works great
Ignition: MSD SCI: 10/10, works great
Cross drilled rotors: iRotors Cross drilled and slotted: 5/10, looks good but would prefer a larger kit
Struts: Tokico: 7/10, would prefer coilovers
Springs: Eibach: 7/10, would prefer coilovers
Rims: 19x8.5" Konig – Theory: 5/10, would prefer wider ones in rear and a better brand, but they look good and work for me and were a decent price
High performance/built tranny and torque converter: haven't got it back yet but will have around the 23 of april, but for $3100, it better be good.
Overall, having a sleeper car that is fast and looks great, 10/10!!!

Got the windows tinted today and I'm depressed. I asked for the lightest but best protective tint available. It's still too dark. I really liked the clean look of my car. The windows are too dark. How can you guys like doing this. I hate it. I'll give it a few days. If it doesn't grow on me, it'll come off. It does come off pretty easily, right?

the tint is not all that hard to remove. if you're gonna do it you might as well do it now before it completely dries all the way. also prepare for a broken rear defroster....i had some guy, who a friend recommended, do a **** poor job on my audi for a $100. ended taking it off, along with some of my window defroster, like a week later....the best $100 i ever spent
