if i was in your position i'd go to walmart and buy a daisy and a can of that spray. spray down the bay and once they start running out.. light em the funk up! thats the only way to feel satisfied after they took money out of your pocket for repairs lol
(but seriously what if they chewed through ur brake lines or something? they deserve to die a horrible and revengeful death!)

I guess I'm lucky that I only have mice to deal with. I live in the country and had my car parked outside all last summer, only drove it a couple times. When I finally pulled it in the garage to work on it, there were mouse turds all over the engine bay. Car's on stands, but I still have a mousetrap set up on the airbox, just in case.

the rats that i killed i used my .22 semi auto rifle. the first time was actually right below the spare tire lol.

I did have ground squirrels in my garage last summer that were chewing on the dead mice that were in the traps every morning. I'd go out and there would be blood and guts hanging out of half-eaten mouse carcasses. I figured out that it was the little striped ground squirrels that were running around, so I posted up with the BB gun a couple times to no avail. Finally one day I was working on my 4Runner in the garage when they were both in there, and I ended up shooting them both inside of ten minutes in the garage. One crawled into a roll of roofing paper and I stuck the muzzle down it and shot him, and the other was in a bag of dog food and just sat there munching so I could shoot him in the head.

Have not had a ground squirrel or mutilated mouse problem since.

I am dealing wit mouse/rat problems in my sc, too, but under the dash. Fml...

Old timer told me to disconnect the battery when its sitting for a while. Something about the charge in the wires attracts them or something like that.
Mothballs work good too.
