im considering to trade my 95 240sx with an blacktop SR and super clean interior for an sc400. the sc is not as clean as my s14 and the fenders are kind of messed up from being so low on custom coils. the car also as about 22xxxx and the current owner claims that the head and trans has been rebuilt. car seems sounds havent had a chance to check for leaks but ill do that before officially going through with the trade. the car also has an exhaust system, HIDs and a sound system. would it be a good trade? i have a hard time getting out of my s14 and into something else, but i think its time i move on and get into something a little more comfortable.

 

well those are some high miles even for an sc


if you could post pics and specs of both cars i would be able to give u a better opinion

I would stay away from that car, and any car where the owner has "rebuilt" something. Try to find a lower mileage one in better condition that hasn't been molested.

 

yes yes --I will second this---the mileage is quite high and things have been rebuilt.


maybe sell your car for what you can get and put a little money on top of it (if you can) and try to get a better one with lower mileage

Your car should bring a nicer SC than that. I would almost trade my SC for your 240 (ALMOST) and mine is a 93 with 97 front end, black, and a 5 speed......

 

Honestly, I think you are both taking a huge chance, and it sounds like both have been somewhat abused cars. You both probably want out of your cars, I would sell them individually, then buy whatever. Trading between friends spawns bad blood.

 

not an even trade. maybe if it was a 1jz SC400 swapped car. but u can sell ur car for way more money.

 

youll miss the boost and the sc400 will be more sluggish than the 240 because of its weight
