Buying Tires this weekend! Need Suggestions
Hey Guys im going to be buying tires for my new wheels this weekend. I found a few at really good prices. I am thinking of buying Eagle F1 G3DS (235/40/17). Has anyone had and luck/reviews with these tires. Also How is the ride quality going to be on a 7.5" rim compared to a 235/45/17

I second the KDW's. I had them on my MR2 and mine were slightly noisy after a while but they were a great tire over all, not to mention the tread pattern is ridiculously cool. Right now, on my SC I'm running Dunlop Direzzas and I like them a lot so far, but I've only had them on there a few weeks.

That all depends on your driving conditions and climate. Look at the reviews from tirerack and see what others have mentioned. I have had good luck with GoodYear and Firestone Potenza.

I'm on Dunlop Direzza DZ101's also. I have those on my 350Z and my SC. They are a very sticky tire for the price. I want to try the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs, they are exclusive to tire rack(Can't get them at where I work at Discount Tire) and have an even softer compund.

I used to have Eagle F1 GSD3 tires. Ran them for a few years, they are good tires overall. Very sticky and reasonably quiet. I only have two gripes with the tire, one being that they seem to have kinda soft sidewalls. They feel like they have a little bit of "wiggle" when hitting bumps during hard cornering such as long freeway on ramps. I ended up getting a flat with one after hitting a fist chunk of asphalt on the freeway going about 40, it punctured the sidewall. Second being that to me they felt unpredictable at the edge of traction. You get alot of grip without much squealing noise up until it loses traction. I would still recommend this tire. I've gone through 4 sets and would buy another if I came across some.

Star specs are great. But if your looking for amazing tires for low price. Go with federal 595's. They are super cheep and really grippy. I use them for drifting for those exact reasons. Tread pattern on them looks aggressive too.
