Default What to do with SC400

Hey,
I recently restored my a 1995 Black loaded SC400 (auto)...My sister put it out on the side of the road with a "free" sign in the dash.....I found out about this, and picked it up real quick lol. I replaced the alternator, PS pump, Rack and pinion, hoses, etc.

But I just got her inspected and its in good form (everything is working except for the heater). She bought a new car, and I already have a 08' Mustang GT(my baby).

So, I was just wondering what y'all think I should do with it....it cost me about $700 to restore it and it has 160,000 miles on it. Its a good car and has been in the family for over 13 years.

I'm sorry if a Ford is your "baby" then you shouldn't be able to have an sc. hahaha, just messing with ya. As you know they're a great car to have, but if you have no use for it, get few grand for it

'95 400 with 160k in good running/looking condition is probably between $4-5k. If the interior looks like a tigers bedroom then knock off 1k.

hmmmmmm

to me 4-5 thousand is steep for a car with that mileage.

I would say expect to get around $3000.

and yes if your interior is in rough shape----expect to get lowballed

man if you call this restoring a car....anyways i'm sure interior in that car has its normal sc wear as well, cracked window surrounds, door panels, air vents and bleeding a/c screen and 160k on it i wouldnt think its worth more then 3000.

Keep it in the family forever, if possible. My grandad had a 1993 Buick LeSabre with only 46K on it. It still had the second set of tires on there when he had a stroke and couldnt drive it. My aunt was over the account and assets at the time. She didnt know I wanted it. She sold it to my cousin and paid 3500. I would have given more. It was immaculate and had no paint work. My cousin drove it to Sam's and it was stolen within 15 minutes. It was found 6 months later after the police raided a chop shop and found it wrecked and repainted. the rear floor boards were flat due to jumping it I guess. They beat it back out the best the drug dealers could. It had been wrecked on the driver side from front to back and the paint work looked like $%#@. She got it back and it was never the same. Its a shame what people do and doesnt know the real meaning of keeping the car in mint condition and taking it only 2 places where it can be seen at all times. I had the opportunity to buy the car for 500 but I passed, knowing what happened. It never felt the same.
