I don't like 97's either, they are too buisy, too much going on there. Scott's latest iteration of tailights are perfect IMO red on bottom, clear on top.

^ Why make your Lexus look like a Honda?

I think sometimes people get caught up in doing mods. Changing this, blacking out that, combing lights here and so on but forget elbow grease isn't synonymous with good. Sometimes people forget that the cleanest part can be what came from the factory.

I got a soarer (toyota) I turn heads already lol. Not to be stereotypical or raceist but to much chrome to me makes me mexican. Clean=simple. 2jzgte+r154 plus equip m1's and a 5zigen exhaust is good for me. Plus extras like suspenion. And a vertex rear bumper but don't have the bumper yet. Just don't care for chrome trims

It is ironic because I believe the 97 have the least going on.

The 92-94s have an intrusive devision between the yellow and the red with the reverse lights placed in a wacky position ruining any harmony the brake lights could have.

95-96s have a nice design with the placement of the lights but the tinted plexiglass look kills any cohesion. The different sectors of the tail lights stand out like a sore thumb.

Scotturnot's tails downgrade the 97s to a 95 look.

The devil is in the detail. The chrome was a nice luxury, no expense spared, upgrade. Look at the pictures in post 11 again. That SC is missing the chrome trim just like the Sienna.

95-96 sc are the best tail lights to me.............just saying.

I asked a similar question about two weeks ago and got so much negitive feedback on the ebay alteza lights.
