Default found a solution to the DDM tuning HID problem

Some may remember that a couple weeks ago I posted that I bought HIDs from DDM tuning that were 6000k @55 watts and when I would turn the on both bulbs would not ignite at the same time and I would have to turn them on and off until they were both on. Wut u guys recommended was that I use a relay, but being the lazy person I am I decided to work around that. When I was turning my headlights on my car would already be started. I tried turn my lights on before I started my car and BAM the both turned on at the same time! I did this several times and it worked 100% of the time. So all u gotta do is turn ur lights on before the car. As for the technical aspect, I don't know y it works one way and not the other

Too bad the cranking the engine will cause the passenger side headlight to turn off a large percentage of the time. Ask me how I know.

This is not a solution. Get a proper harness.

Because I have 35w HIDs without a relay and I always remind myself to turn off the headlights before cranking. You'll see the headlights dimming when you crank and as I said, a large percentage of the time the passenger side light will turn off.

I figured 55 watt HID's would melt the harness or headlights? Do the HID's get really hot?

It should be fine. I would think that the 55 watt HID is much more efficient than a 55 watt halogen at producing light. So why would it be hotter if it's consuming the same power?

The harness should be fine since there is only high current running for the first couple seconds.

I've been running 55 watt HID's for the past 2 years with no problems. And 35 watt before that for 2 years.

I had read that on some cars, the 55 watt HID kits run too hot and melt the headlights or the harness.

Is the light output between the 35 watt and 55 watt HID's that big of a difference?

That is false, I been running mine over a year without any proper harness, and everything is fine, there no melts.

All these people saying that they are having issues with their DDm kits make me SMH. I've been running the 55w 5K kit for 3 years. Not a flicker or anything. They come one everytime with no issues. I wonder if there quality is going down?
