looks great were you able to retain stock speakers and sub? I think I'm going to pick a pioneer unit like this one too.

That's the exact head unit I'm ordering next month actually. Let me know what you think about it. I'm going to use the park bypass mod so I can use the video input for my gauges while driving. My guess on those clips is for the heated seats

Those plugs underneath the cup holder are for the factory cell phone.

I have an auto with heated seats (well, the switches are there), and can confirm they don't go to those. the above answer seems most likely to me.

If you remember when you remove your stock radio, there 3 separate harness u gotta detract. one is the speakers, one is the sub, and other is climate. Since you only hook up the speakers, u gotta connect the other harness to the sub to ur HU. That will make it work..

OP, it is for cell phones. Just like you look in ur trunk there a wire for the cell phone too.

So I have the exact same thing under my cup holder- does that mean that the car originally had a phone in it? Or did they all have these so the hookup was available?

the heated seats is the wire coming from the top of the pic, but works great and everything is easy to access. the only problem is the album art next to the song is soooo pixelated and looks like its from 1990. but i removed it and put the equalizer bars that goes with the music. and for the bypass, its not as easy as connecting it to the ground, it has to be connected to the ground with a switch.

You can run your bypass on an relay. Youtube has a video showing how so you dont have to toggle a switch. I have the exact same pioneer in my sc300 so it will work
