Gonna pick up a kit from leatherseats.com. But it has to wait. I wanna do the gauge cluster and climate control first. So I'll be rolling with this ugly seats for a bit longer.

Are you wanting to go with real leather or possible synthetic leather?

Progress update. Almost everything is installed dash wise. Couple of things bugging the f out of me. The center dash vent I got is obviously not from my year. I had to modify it so the gold stud that connects to the dash would have a place. For some reason it protrudes a bit and is not absolutely flush with the airbag trim. W

When I installed the glovebox I closed it and now it wont open. Push the button all I want, and it wont budge. SO has anyone heard of how to open the glovebox if the button wont work?

Is the glove box in a bind of any sort?

Would adding a washer in between the gold wing nut and the dash help the difference to make it fit more flush? Just a thought.

I guess you have to get the glove box open to remove the rest of the wood grain again, dont you? Sorry about your mishaps, be patient, someone knows something on here.

The problem Is that the center vent part sticks out to far out. I might be able to remedy this by epoxying the gold stud to the back of the plastic. First I have to get that glove box open. I can't take anything else off unless I can remove the glovebox. I'll look at it with a more clear head tomorrow. I also made sure that the valet lock was not engaged.

Well I was able to get to the glove box lay h through the void where the radio goes. For some reason it was not Pulling hard enough on the cable to release. So I took it all back apart, made a few adjustments and now the center vent sits a little better. Still protrudes but I can live with it till I find the exact vent I need.

Finding a good center vent has been a nightmare for you hasn't it? Just think, once you find one you have to take your dash apart again.
Does the modding ever stop? I am addicted! Looks good mane!

More progress today. I was on the fence about whether to reinstall the gauge cluster, steering wheel and seats since I am replacing and refurbishing. Figured I might as well have fun driving it than when the funds come in make my fixes.

So steering wheel and gauge cluster installed. I took a picture to put up on here and noticed how "not black" my black carpet was. So I SEM'd the carpet, brushing in between coats. Carpet is not crunchy and looks a lot better. Probably install my seats tomorrow.

We have ignition. Put my intake hack together and fired her up. Always good to hear that after being taken so far apart. No weird lights on the dash. I was sure my airbag light would be on since I had to turn the key on to droP the column down to get the cluster out. And the steering wheel was already off. But no airbag light. Bunch of little odds and ends to tie up. Gonna order some suede for the headliner maybe tomorrow.
