Default Black Wood Vinyl

So I felt I needed to just make a quick thread on CL about this topic that way if anyone ever needs to search this it will be easier to find on here.

Eliteskill was the original member who put this in his ride so props go out to him for letting us all know what he used and where he got it. I decided to pull the trigger on this since it was one of the final pieces of the puzzle I needed to further complete my interior.

Pics from his other thread after completing his black wood vinyl in a black interior.....

You can purchase the vinyl on ebay from a vendor on there. Literally just type in "black wood vinyl" and he is the only one that is selling this on there. You will be able to get a 17 3/4" wide x 77" long roll which is more than enough for our interiors for less than 20 bucks shipped.

What is nice about this vinyl is that it does have texture to it just like real wood and the vinyl is not too glossy or fake. So far I have had several people take a look at it and they all think its the real deal.

Best advice I can give everyone is to take there time with this and make sure at least on the door trim pieces to take them off and fold the vinyl to the back to create a seamless look. The corners are a bit tricky to work without creating unwanted creases but like I said....take your time and it will work out good for you.

Here are pics from my black/tan interior with black wood vinyl....

Enjoy guys and let me know what you think. Any further questions on the matter you know I will answer

It does look good. I saw in the first picture on the bottom corner it looked like it was peeling off a bit. It matches and flows well with the entire car. I chose a different route on mine.

Both interiors are real clean!

I dig it. I should probably do mine while everything is apart. How did you get the corners to lay flat?

Thanks Tabaka Believe me I envy you with that wood grain steering wheel. Always wanted one but after I bought my 3 spoke I'm just as content.

I think he still had to put the other strip on the opposite side still so he probably fixed that corner at that time. Thanks for the love 1992Lexus

Next time you come out bro definitely take a look at it. If you like it like I said to Troy I got plenty of extra to do your interior as well and I know it would look great with your black beauty as well

I agree it would be best to do it while your interior is all apart. When you lay the corners the best trick is to cut a section that will be in the back out and overlap the vinyl closest to it. Kind of hard to explain but that's how I did it. Or cut slits on the backside so the vinyl will want to contour better to the corner so it will lay flat. Several ways to slice and dice it but just take your time and do what works best for you.

Again I can't thank you enough eliteskill I have been searching for quite some time to find the right vinyl for the job and then I finally caught your thread on the matter and you had the answer to my prayers
