Default How can I tell what year my climate control is?

I am having problems with my climate control as far as the blower speed just seems to have a mind of it's own and by that I mean the fan speed will change up and down all on it's own and it is NOT on auto mode so I am beginning to think the cc unit is from another year as mine is a 97 and I have the cc unit out of the car but there seem to be no markings

Does it beep or not beep when you press the buttons?

No, only the '92-'94 year models made that beeping noise on the climate control...

Do you have access to the part number? That should help...

Ok so it is not any of those years then and there was a part# on it but it has been removed which kind of makes it hard to figure out and it seems as if I am the only one having this strange cc problem.

Yup mine is green so I guess that rules out it being from another year so I am starting to go craxy trying to figure this out
It reallty only seems to do it during the day and more so on sunny hot days so I am thinking the little sensor in the dash may be messing up? I am not sure what you call that sensor?

That little sensor on the dash is for the auto feature for your headlights, If you cover that sensor while your headlight mode is set to "auto" it will turn on, sunny it will turn off

If it's Green, Then it's for a '92-'94, If it's Amber, then it's for a '95-'96, and finally if it's an orange/reddish color if for a '97-'00....and since it's green, That only narrows it down to 3 possible year models.

Ok so we are talking about the little green lights above the buttons correct?
Like when you turn on the a/c a little green light lights up.

No, I'm talking about the actual color of the LCD screen display itself, What color is your LCD screen?...And yes, the cc's are year specific.
