Do you remember if the DNA price included the backlighting or just covered the needles?

He is super helpful and did a really good job. When you look at the auction mine is the pic with white LED backlight and blue needle tips.
My "glass" on the cluster broke in shipping it back and he refunded the money I paid for the new one. I had an awesome experience and they have great customer service and definitely better pricing than the alternative.
So, his needles are only lit at the tip? Guess that's all you really need to read the gauges and it might be cool to have the light floating in the middle of nowhere, but how do you like the effect?

I emailed DNA and they got back to me pronto, on a Sunday evening, after 10pm their time in Florida. Extremely impressed. And I would say the prices are comparable. The only thing that might be a downside for some is that stock red needles are all you are going to get, which is fine with me because I was either gonna go straight stock, or get blue needles. At Lextech I was looking at $166 for the back lighting and another $99 for needles. For $199 DNA completely refurbishes the cluster back to new and this includes needles and backlighting. He also said they bench test your unit there so you don't get it back and find your needles not working. I guess Lextechs fix is to remove the cover and move your gauge back by hand, risking breaking the needle motor. Don't know if they will bite, but I hit him up to see if he would do a group buy deal or something for us folks here.

That would be cool (group deal). BTW, the $166 LexTech backlight price is for the "32" upgraded LED version. The 16 lamp LED version is only $99 and stock bulbs are just $29.

WTH? I thought OLT WAS Lextech? I thought he started doing it as a service here first many years ago.

Yeah I figured that if I am getting this done I would go with the brightest package.

That's what I always thought. When I first joined the forums, he was Lextech. Maybe he doesn't run the business anymore?

I might give this new guy a shot instead. I need to redo my cluster soon.

It looks really cool actually, there are no hotspots in the backlighting either. I will post a pic later on my computer, I can't do it from my phone. And it's unique too, not like what everyone else has.

The DNA guy is not an approved supporting vendor on our forum. In fact he's banned from CL and his company URL is censored because he spammed our forum with advertising.

Group Buys, Bulk Sales and Gathering Interest Posts
Group Buys (GB) or bulk sales are allowed ONLY in conjunction with a Club Lexus authorized vendor. ‘Gathering interest’ posts for group buys or new products are also not allowed without the prior support of an authorized Club Lexus vendor which can be coordinated directly through the vendor or requested of moderators or the forum administrator. Linking to group buys sponsored by non-CLUB LEXUS vendors or on other sites/forums is not allowed.

Inappropriate GB posts will be promptly closed or removed without notice.
This thread is closed.

FWIW Lextech is also no longer a vendor on Club Lexus and any GB price posted on our forum is long over as they haven't been one for several years. I don't believe OLT still runs it, but I'm not sure.
