Rolling my fenders soon, have some questions

After reading some old threads about DIY rolling I'm concerned about the plastic clips that hold the rear fender guard strips. Is there a way to remove them so they won't ruin my quarter panels ? If they can't be removed should I melt them with the heat gun before rolling ? I'm going to need a very flat roll and maybe a slight pull to clear the big meats I bought and would like to make some room without ruining my fenders.

i ripped them out with a needle nose pliers lol then i hammered all that flat.. then roll time.
do take them out tho.. my friends sc someone previous rolled it without taking the plastic things out and it left funky dimples. hence the reason why i ripped them out!!

remove the fender liner and clips. make sure to clean out any dirt/rocks that may have accumulated behind the fenders before you roll them, otherwise u will roll a bunch of dirt/pebbles/debris which will make the roll a nightmare.
if you're going for a completely Flat roll in the rear...you will have some dimples regardless, because of how the fenders are made. they will not be that noticeable though unless ur looking for them.

im not sure u guys are following what op asked ? He asked about the rear fender guards..... When I cut my rear fenders to clear my rims and tires I simply removed them with a phillips screw driver (hence they are screwed in). Came right off I actual cut the top arch of the guard off and screwed back in the other two halves to help with the oem look

No, they had it right, I was wanting to know how to remove the little plastic squares that the guards screw in to. I need to paint the car eventually but I'm not ready yet so I'd like to keep the body presentable for now. The passenger side quarter needs some door ding filling tlc so I'll probably start on that side. My cousin, who has done this before, is going to help me, he has all the tools and an Eastwood roller.
