well I made a thread before on the car dieing on the highway every once in awhile. well I was otw to grab some fish sandwiches for lent and car died right at a stoplight;
I did the usual turn ignition key off all the way and went to try crank it back up, well it started right back up, but end up dieing even when I tried to rev car back up still dies.
No check engine lights when the car starts up
Also, haven't changed the spark plug and wires yet (broke) but had the dizzy and cap replaced, fuel filter also
Any help would be appreciated I called the local mechanic and he told me it might be the fuel pump. Just wanted some input any response would be great.

Alright, I think I responded to your previous thread. I know you don't have a CEL but PULL YOUR CODES. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html
Same procedure. Something to be aware of with our ECUs is that not all codes are designed to show an always on CEL. You'll see that in the repair manual. I'm willing to bet that if you do this procedure codes WILL come up. Start there. Any advice given to you or any other diag you do is absolutely worthless until you do this.
Did I mention to pull your codes? haha

Got your PM my man, figured I would post this for everyone- do not do the 12v mod as a diagnostic. Because if that isn't it, then you just cut your wires for nothing. The bypass does the same thing just more temporary- open your diag port, and jump terminals B+ and FP with a paper clip or something similar. When you turn your key to the "on" position you should hear your FP fire. Then start the car. If all goes well, it's just a bad FP ECU and go ahead and do the 12v fuel mod. If not, then you have some other fuel issue that needs to be worked out.
