The swap is just as easy to do as any other jz. Mine was done in 1 day with the r154,driveshafts, and matching diff.

One day? How about the wiring? Man, I mentioned wanting a swap done in 5 or 6 days as I rent a car and people started busting my chops saying I needed more time. Obviously you or your shop has a lot of experience and know what you're doing The VVTi motor looks so much cleaner.

Yea I completely agree the vvti looks way better then the first gen 1j. The actual swap only took 1 day but the wiring took another two days since the wasnt just wiring m car. I can def see someone doing the swap in a weeknd.

One of the reasons it took a while to do my swap was working on other peoples vehicles, so I don't do that much anymore. It was 2 years from when I started, till it was driving again. Had a lot of delays due to work, other people's projects, and my own other projects. Had the auto in at one time, then changed my mind to go manual, among other things I changed up. The amount of time wasn't really a big deal for me to be able to do it the way I wanted. Have over 12k miles on it now with no issues.

As far as the turbo, I went with the Driftmotion upgrade to the stock turbo. So it has a steel turbine wheel, and a 20g compressor wheel.

I like it so far. Spools just a tad slower, but with the boost controller set up, it spools up fast and doesn't fall off on the top like stock. Thanks for the compliments.
