Window Regulator Question
I ordered a new/used window regulator off of here from a member. It was too replace my buddies 98 SC one. His was all chewed up and wouldnt roll down pass 2 inches. When I received the new one, it appeared to be in very good condition, no play, exactly like the one I took out. I put this new in and after about 10 times or so going up and down, it has chewed it up again. Its making the same noise and will not go down pass the 2-3 inch mark again. Is there something that I really need to look at further or did I buy a bad new/used regualtor and wasted $75? I have read several threads about this and the DIY one, but couldnt see anything about this particular issue. Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks

I would remove the regulator and motor and make sure the window glass slides up and down freely. Then the next thing would be to connect the wire harness of the window regulator/motor (regulator/motor removed from door) and using the window switch move the regulator up and down and make sure theres nothing binding and it moves smoothly. You should be able to pin point where the problem area is.

Anything else, please chime in.
