Default Sylvania Silverstars worth the money?

My pass. headlight burned out on my SC today and need some new ones. Standard Sylvanias are $10 a piece, Silverstars are $20...are they worth twice the price?

Not when you can get HIDs from DDM for so cheap. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Product-Cat...hting/HID-Kits.

I have 8000k Raptor 55w....Go with those

Silverstars look basically stock. They are overpriced and suck, I did a side by side and it was hardly noticeable with OEM.

You may as well get an HID kit from DDM or HIDextra for a little bit more like Klaus recommended. I've got a few friends with the 35w DDM kits and they look great. I personally went with HIDextra, but you can't go wrong with either.

If you've got a lot of cash, Xenondepot makes some excellent HID kits.

Is there a writeup on installing one of those DDM kits? I suppose I just need the 9006 type bulb and their ballasts, and somehow splice them into my factory wiring and then rock out.

55w FTW.....Installation is easy...Unplug your old bulb...Plug that into the ballast. Then plug in the bulb to the ballast and your done.

If you need something tomorrow...buy the 3.00 bulbs from autozone

With DDM's you dont have to splice any wiring. The stock harness plugs into the Ballast harness and the ballast to the bulb. Its that simple.

The silverstars were brighter and cleaner looking than OEM. They also attract less attention from the POPO

Holy cow that's easy...almost TOO easy

Well I guess I'll be checking them out in the next week or two to buy a set. Do you guys prefer the $30 Raptor HID kit, or the $40 slim ballast kit?

I personally like the silverstars. Simply white and don't overdo it. But it all depends on your taste, and I agree that they are overpriced. I had to dish out a lot for them
