Wow, that is a really unique looking BMW. I don't think I have ever seen one of those before, are they pretty uncommon? At any rate, I really like the lines on it, and the front end is pretty interesting.
Ive owned and driven more than I care to recall. And having worked on them for a long time, I can tell you... They ARE NOT the best built cars on the road.
Agreed. I apprenticed at BMW and the only "reliable" model they had was the 318i/318ci. Everything else was unreliable.
Though it seems that OP knew what he was getting into, and the 800 series is rare enough to possibly put up with the headaches.
I guess you didnt listen to the Clublexus Family when we told you stay away from this model, but hey its your money and life nothing else i can say but congrats and have fun with her.
This is exactly why I criticize people for threads asking what they should do. They are going to do what they want anyway.
lol, wife is in the car thinking....."can't this photoshoot wait till we get home?" These pics are living proof that some of us love our cars MORE THAN ANYTHING! lol

Man, i've seen numerous pics of chicks staying in the car this past week
Nice loving the color and to all you BMW haters my E46 M3 was nothing short of a joy to drive 5 sets of tires in 10K and all I replaced was the alt. BMW's are all about routine part replacement. If you keep up on things they are a very affordable car.
