From what I've read on these forums a nice lil 10" sub will hit quite hard in the location where that free air stock sub was- not a big deal. I would throw a slim JL 12" sub right there if it'll fit width-wise.
The only slim sub JL has, comes in a 13.5. Possibilities would have been endless if it weren't for that gas tanking being where its at.
any pics and more info on how you made the rear deck?
No pictures but I'll try to explain as much as i can. Took the deck out, cut mdf rings to fit the 6.5's, positioned them the way i wanted with hot glue and small angled cut mdf. Once everything was in place, I layed about 3 layers of fiberglass. Bondo sanded til everything was nice and smooth and then vinyl. Hopefully you can picture this.
