Would be interesting to see what you would do with a 1jz.
I would build one if I had the car for it. Mine is likely gonna stay a 2j but Ive thought about finding an ae86 for the right price and doing a 1j

Hey there, nice setup, glad to see it went mostly well all through out. Any updates on the manual swap or T51?

Manual swap will be happening around summer time. Check out my new build thread.

T51 would be a dream, love that stupid turbo. Maybe after a bit... who knows. If im gonna spend big money on a turbo, ill likely try to go GT47 or something.

Hate to keep bringing this from the dead but I'm very interested. I've got a T70 with .70A/R on the way, HKS 2mm hg, huge tranny cooler, fuel pump, injectors etc and assume I'll be around the same power as you, if not maybe a little more.

If you don't mind I have a few questions for you or whoever may know. My main concern is the transmission. I'm running the stock A340 and wondering how yours is holding up? Can you feel any more wear now than when you first started? Do you ever launch it or mostly freeway hits? Looking back, if you have aaaaaaany tips please let me know. From reading this thread I don't think you'll be the type to ***** out and say, get a GTE and do it right etc, I'm in the same boat as you. Work and school. I just want to have fun and replace/fix things as I want more power or have the funds later. Thanks man, awesome build!

I have noticed that 1-2 shift is a little sloppy at times. I changed the fluid and added some lucas to it. Also will now be running it with tthe line pressure cable locked down so it should get a little better. My turbo has a pretty big exhaust housing, so it spools slow. I usually just go for highway type stuff, I never launch it. Im almos the biggest advocate AGAINST GTE swaps. They are nearly pointless. If youre running stock ecu, or GTE ecu, just make sure you are running too rich or too lean either way

As far as tips go... just test fit everything several times and make sure its all there when you finish fit everything.

Anything else, feel free to PM
