If I stuck with a 245/40 in the rear, I don't think it would be too bad. I'm hoping I can get away with using a phonebook to pull the rear fenders out a bit.

Nope, With gas prices these days, I don't think driving the Sc400 from the Bay Area to Vegas is a good idea haha.

as i said i would ideally be gunning for similar fitment when i get my spacers...

but only difference is i have 19in diameter on the rears... and 18s fronts...

even with a +15.. your rears sit "nice" because of your tyres...
...i think that if i went 0 offset, it'd be "flush" for me cos i seem to have ridiculous stretch on my rears :/
Here's pictures of my old car with 18x9 +5 front with 235/40/18 and 18x10 -7 with 245/40/18

see and THIS is what annoys me about work rims... the effective difference in offset between your current setup and your work meisters,

is a total of 22mm... it's 2.2 centimetres. that isn't even an inch as far as i know...

... and yet... the meister fitment is all shades of wrong..

there's no way that's 2.2cm of differential.

i swear work rims are never consistent with their offsets!!!
