The hard plastic pieces have to be stripped down with sandpaper (wet/dry) and primed then painted with flexible automotive paint.
To the OP, did you guys use an adhesion promoter before you painted those pieces, if so you shouldn't have any problems with the paint peeling. And to get deep color penetration for the carpet you have to soak it in black dye over night.

man i really dont like to be negative so please forgive me once again.
Your seats looked to be in great condition already ---this is SEM gone way too far.
SEm is fine for changing or fixing up some pieces here and there but to do your wholwe interior ---man its just too much.
Now you have a car with a un-original color and seats that have been painted basically.
You are going to have a very tough time selling this car----
The value of it has dropped significantly in my opinion.
Im sorry but this is not how I like to see SC's treated, you have sort of butchered this car.

Again im not ussually a negative guy or a hater in any way shape or form---but i think you have done more harm than good.
The positive is your learning alot im sure with the paint job and this.
Good luck and i hope for your sake that this SEM stuff doesnt peel or crack.
My guess is it does but i hope im wrong.

I have to chime in.. I just redid all of my interior with SEM, for the third and final time. Not due to chipping or flaking, but finally getting all the right pieces and spraying together.
I noticed you used the vinyl, carpet, plastic paint on all of the leather pieces. Did anyone else recognize this? They do make a SEM leather paint, that flex more and gives more than the stuff you used. I am by NO means bashing you, just letting you know that there is different type of SEM products for different materials.
I also noticed you sprayed some heavy, heavy thick coats. SEM does better when there is no rain or moisture in the air, and at 70-80 degrees. Spray lighter thin coats, and see if there is any difference in the look. The fish eye means that you didnt sand enough or you left some sort of dirt, grease, grime, armor all etc on the product.
Overall very good effort. let us know how it goes.. Looking forward to more pictures, and thanks for sharing!
