I am saying that I just won't pay stupid high prices for a spare key it's not that big of deal and it's not my only car so I can't afford to go all out on it although I never skimp on parts but in this case it's just a key nothing more so to me it's pretty basic.

Mines an "ilco" LXP90-P key if that helps.

You're probably right about that, but I don't think someone would by a Lexus even if they had 10K for simple fact that even if its an older model vehicle since its a luxury car you have to expect that parts and maintenance are really expensive compared to buying a toyota of the same year... Just my opinion..

Well I just want to share My story. I have a 98 SC400 w/transponder. I lost my only Master key somewhere around a year or more ago. Never to be seen again. I called Lexus about it back then. They told me that they would need to order a brand new ECU that they would give me for free, BUT I would have to buy 2 new master keys. Thats $600.00 bucks. I though well I dont have to money, but some day I will & ill take care of that then. Cause if you lose your only spare that starts the car, your just F'd. All that being said, my EX wife texted me today to let me know that, the pool table guy was in the back of the bar, refelting the pool table & found my key's INSIDE the pool table & to come pick them up when I get a chance. Im EFFFin pumped. Can you belive that, over a year.

I bought my key, cut and all from my local dealership for around 100. All they needed was the vin. Probably not going to find it cheaper. OEM key with the side button

Ugh I am not going to spend 135.00 for a spare key man no way that's ever going to happen and it's a 97 with no transponder so no chip.
I don't know about you but I am sure as hell not going to spend 110.00 more on a spare key that will rarely if ever get used, I will have 25.00 or less in the key by the time I am done.

Spend money wisely, skimp and save where u can and put your money towards better , more important things when needed.
Its a known fact the dealers are crooks, I really hope I never have to deal with them ever again for any reason at all.
