Yes, you are correct but it kinda all depends on the fuel setup you wanna go with...me personally id rather you a GE block with 1JZ head cuz the compression is higher, so if you use pump gas then you wont be able to run as much boost as a GTE block, but if using race gas or e85 boost level doesnt matter.

But if you like running jus pump gas at high boost levels all the time a GTE block would probably be the best bet.

Good thing I wasnt talking about a 1JZ-GE, the 2JZ-GE bottom end can handle just as much power as the GTE.... thats been proven time and time again. Its not an opinion its a fact. You want to spend more money on something that will give you damn near/if not the same results as the cheaper option, be my guest.

I wasnt really trying to take into consideration as to which fuel (e85, pump, race) and how much boost people are trying to run, just trying to educate some of the obviously less informed people here. Like captain sarcasm above.

swapping over short blocks to a 2jzgte will be cake. the compression is lower than a GE as well. and lastly im not running a long oil line from the oil filter housing all around to the turbo. it looks dumb.

and easier to source parts for 2jz
Ok first 98% of the 1.5jz you see are on ge block and make more more by just running a tt hg. majority of the 1.5 happen because the 1jzgte block with oil squirters when bye bye .

i am na-t with ge block and you will never see my oil line.

who is talking about 1jzge? i didn't get that part

easier to source parts for 2jz what are you talking about ? i didn't understand that ..

When we talk 2jz please let's not bring up that oil squirter crap , it's getting old now !!!!

and 8.5.1 is old technology , even supra guys don't run that CR anymore on their build, and who runs 8.5 unless they have too

You believe gte block and 8.5.1 is bettermore power to you
back to topic guys , we have a thread just for that 1jzvsna-t vs 2jzgte let's take the discussion to that thread.

I posted real video of real cars both real 1jz cars and are still around right now.

Regards 1jz naturals nobody brings them in to the country why would you, 2jzge bottoms are all over the place.
Several drag teams use GE blocks. squirters are only a benefit to cool stock piston skirts, and are not truly necessary, if you have them great if not don't cry its all good, but cost and availability due lend themselves as a definite benefit to GE bottoms.

Thanks. I'm so excited to get it ^.^

440cc Through a auto. Honestly the numbers are pretty impressive. My bottle neck in the system is the injectors. I plan on getting mk4 550s again or try to find these denso 680cc side feed high impedance injectors I had at one point. There so damn hard to find.
