Befor I was make 429 Hp 420Tq @18 PSI
6262 wtth 063 Housing
BCC and SCC
264 Cams
550 injectors
Added the QSV and lost 60+ Horsepower
with divided .84 housing
Power FC
Barely making 350 hp. But very streetable.
I'm planning on selling the Turbo and QSV and either getting
1. GT35R
2 GTX
3 S366
Or say the hell with it and dump the car.

It looks like its safe to say i should get a borg warner setup when i go single the numbers you guys are putting down with the s363/6 are impressive. i just always thought them to be to big and nonresponsive of a turbo for a 2.5L even with cams

If you really want something very very responsive and still make great power up top get the BW 88-75 aka S362 or the BW83-75 aka S360
S360 will max out around 605whp.
Nate, just remove the QSV and enjoy your car! If that setup it too laggy for you just get a 60mm turbo and boost away!

Hey guys, I am reading through this thread and getting some inspiration to do an SAFC II setup on my 1jz since budget is tight for a standalone. It seems a lot of people run SAFC II without any problems. Right now I have a bone stock 1j with 3" turboback and FMIC. I plan on doing:
Driftmotion single kit, 440cc, Aeromotive afpr, and I already have a walbro 255 pump. Think this can get me 400whp?
But the biggest question most people can't seem to answer is: Is it possible to run an SAFC II in conjunction with a greddy bcc? Right now I have a BCC installed and I have been reading a lot of threads about running an SAFC and a FCD or BCC together. And no one seems to know exactly how to wire in both of them at the same time since they both modify the map signal. And some argue that SAFC gets rid of fuel cut as long as you keep the adjustments in the -% range. What did you SAFC guys do to not hit fuel cut?

I had a hks boost cut eliminator / defensor with a apexi safc. Itll work you just have to be careful on how to wire it, since they use a few of the same wires. I had the same set up as you, you won't make 400 unless you have a manual transmission, your looking at 360-380 with those mods and a auto Trans. You don't need the afpr until you go over 550cc injectors iirc.
There was a write up somewhere on how to wire It up on the austrilian supra forums. And as far as I know the safc doesn't get rid of the boost cut (fuel cut)

So you don't think I will need an afpr? Because I e-mailed Aaron of driftmotion and he said for a good 400 hp setup he would get 550cc, afpr, 400lph walbro and an EMS. I don't know how much of that is him trying to sell parts or actually telling me what he thinks is a good safe setup.

I'm speaking from experience. My last car was nearly 500whp on a Walbro, 5spd, 550cc injectors, 3" exhaust and a mapecu2. That's it. No fpr. Now if you want one it's not a bad idea, I'm not Sayin it wouldn't be a good thing. But since your on a budget, it's a expense that's unneeded. (plus you'll need new fuel lines or atleast adapters that will let you install -an line fittings to your stockers)
For the wiring I believe it was harness to safc to bcc to ecu.
This thread confirms that:

And also, have you heard anything bad about boosting past 18psi on a stock ecu with piggyback? Because I heard the stock ecu has no timing maps past 18psi so some people say that boosting past this can cause the ecu to mess with the timing and maybe damage the motor. My ecu is a jzz30 btw.

When I had the safc I was boosting to 22psi. Hah no issues here. I had issues with the wiring, but that was the previous owner. I'm still running at 20/21psi, and Iv daily driven the car for a year. (I just got rid of the safc only a couple months ago). And yea, you'll probably hit the goal of 400 with the 440s. There's a thread I posted in on how to tune it. I'll try to find it when I get home.
The wiring for the resistor pack isn't that bad of you know what your doing. The injectors are "dumb" and only read on and off (in a sense, they flow more with more voltage, up to 5v). But it took me about a hour and a half to do it, and my back hurt for three days lol. You won't find any injectors what will drop in besides the 440s and a VERY rare set of denso 650cc side feed high impedance injectors I had awhile ago.
Your ecu will be fine, I have the same one. They can go bad though. It's hit or miss on if the capacitors will blow. If one day your car dies or starts running strange your capacitors probably blew. Iv had three Ecus and not had any trouble. Iv had a few friends that havnt had good luck though.
