Dash harness wiring
I just got of the phone with my engine importer and they told me that the dash harness always comes cut with all import engines and that I have to reuse my stock dash harness. My mechanic doing my swap is freaking out about this and I don't know how to tell him to fix it. Please any input would magnificent. Thank you. I posted a thread about this last night but called it a body harness by mistake. Please any help would be great I am ready to get this over with

Why would your mechanic "freak out" about this? If he is a trusted engine mechanic who handles vehicle swaps then he can certainly extend your cut harness. Of course it's tons of work and hours of labor. Honestly it's probably best that you get involved with the labor or make some form of deal with him. If he calculates each hour it will take for the swap and harness issue, your final bill is going to be very steep.

Is it really that much work? My mechanic told me that it was only 35 or so wires. Does it repin into the new engine the way it did into the 2JZGE or do I need a diagram. I'm very lost at the moment

The harness that plugs into the passenger kickpanel is the body harness. If your mechanic cant take on the job, send both GE and 1JZ harness to DR.TWeak:
