check engine codes

yes and it is extremely easy.
Get a paper clip and put one end into terminal Te1 and the other end in e1.
The car must not be running and the shifter should be in neutral.
good luck
(edit) your auto parts store should be extremely ashamed of themself

Yeah u get flashing lights, you count them and you need to find the code online or something

oh yes sorry man we should of told you.
The way it works is the cel will flash in a pattern that u must pay attention to.
It will flash in two seperate pattersn as all codes have two numbers involved.
The first series of flashes will be the first number of a two number codee---the second set of flashes will be the second number in that code.
The flashes will happen with a 0.5 second interval if im not mistaken, than u will get about a 1.5 second pause and than a second series of flashes will go again.
You can find out what th codes mean here or online.
good luck---hope i expalined it clearly enough

Most mechanic shops can check your codes for a small fee--especially if u tell them u know how to do it but are just lazy ---perhaps 20 bucks or so.
