MT-HTR fuse 10A
Hello, My daughters 93 SC300 keeps blowing this fuse, MR-HTR 10A, which in turn shuts off the climate display, a/c and fan. I can't get a picture of the fuse box to attach, but it is right below the HTR-10A fuse. Any Ideas what would cause this all the sudden?

It's likely a short somewhere. I had a strange event the other day, I had my charger in and it was turned towards my passenger seat and I tried to turn it in the socket- it wasn't working so well so I tried pulling it out and it ended up pulling the whole damn socket up. When this happened I heard a light pop and my HVAC controlls and all systems shut down. I put the socket back in, replaced the fuse, and i was good to go.
Does your charger socket work? I would open up your center console and see what you can find. It's pretty intuitive except the shifter removal is done by putting it in neutral, dropping the lower plastic "collar" into the shifter plate and you'll find 2 screws at the bottom of the shifter. Everything else should be easy from there.
Check for any exposed wiring, disconnected wiring, etc.

Thanks for the info Klaus. She keeps all sorts of crap plugged in (Phone charger, to Nav unit, to PC) so I will check it out. Her cig lighter only works when the car is running. I don't know if that is normal or not, but for the longest time, I thought it was broke. I have had the console and stuff out a time or two changing the Climate Control unit itself and checking on another lelctrical problem that ended up being under the hood. I will see if all the plug has a problem. Thanks.
