Where are these 99+ sc's for 5k all day? I'll take two please! Any member that has a clean sc400 98+ with around less than 150k for 5k that's clean in CA I will gladly buy it.

LOL idk bri all my SC's have been for 5 or less. Not to sound full of myself but my cars are clean as hell and low mileage. Just take your time and look. I see deals like this probably once or twice a month.

I see sc's cheaper than these two everyday as well. I know where a 96 DWP sc400 for about $4000 is right now. But the truth is the 98+ sc's really do seem to hold more value than the earlier models, either due to scarcity or their more modern amenities. If the OP really wants one of the later models the 400 he posted is a good choice if he can knock the price down some. The fact that earlier models can be found cheaper doesn't really matter when you want a newer one.

Oh the pendulum does swing here when it comes to pricing. One day everyone insists they are worth $10-$12 for a 99+ SC400 with decen mileage, the next day it's $5K all day..... Hillarious. NADA guide has 1999 SC400 with all the goodies at 120K miles for 11,200 Clean Retail, take 2 off for private party adjustment, 9,200 for private party price... This is the cheapest 99-00 SC400 I've found across the US on autotrader, it's also the only on under $7200, and it looks kinda rough. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
So...... I'm not seeing $5K all day.

First one seems reasonable if the price is negotiable - the asking price is slightly high. Check to see if the headlamps are leaking, or just cloudy on the exterior, and get a history report on it because the front bumper looks like it was likely repainted.

The second car has been for sale forever. From the looks of the broken grille and so-so front bumper fitment I'd bet there are more flaws on it. Might be worth going to see for the mileage alone but unless you can scoop it for a bargain then I'd look elsewhere.

Good luck with your search.

Idk man, according to NADA, In the condition my 400 is in (Excellent) its worth $8700 and its a '97. And NADA is the most accurate for resale value.

I'd go for that 400 man. Its a replica of mine Diamond white pearl, gold package!

Agreed, 5-6.5k is a dream. I would be starting club 800 (getting a second SC400) if that was the case, people saying that price are a little out of touch with the actual market price on these.

Jesus man im making alot of friends on this forum lately.

Kaban if you notice on these threads where im being an ******* there is ussually a reason for it.

Was I rude in this thread?

Someone said there are 98-00 sc's going for 5 grand 'all day' so I politely asked them to post some and I havent seen any yet.

I was not wrong to challenge this persons statement.

I'm kinda with ***** on this one, the problem is that someone on here starts telling the OP that you can find these for x amount easily then the OP becomes inclined to believe this (as we all would like to believe this is true when buying, but obviously not when selling) and he OP may start passing up potentially good cars thinking they are a rip.... No don't get me wrong, you can probably find some in the 7k range if you are willing to compromise, travel, or wait (or all three) but they aren't abundant. I've seen the posts where you may think ***** is being offensive, but I think he's right on, because they are generally in areas that may potentially de-value the cars, or give people ideas that it's easy to do things like paint your interior black, and the misconception that rattle-canning your interior black is the right way to do it, when it is not the same as having it professionally dyed, or buying original black pieces...(No offense to anyone who has done it) but the danger is that I fear we'll be seeing lots of black interior cars pop up for sale that never actually came with black interior.

scotty thanks man^^^

im not looking to make friends or enemies here im just trying to call things like i see it

I also try to be polite about my criticisms and i honestly dont feel ive been out of line very often.

With the exception of thet supra vs sc thread which i think got a little heated but still nothing too bad. I actually had a bit of a laugh and thought it was all in good fun.

Its true guiving the op this sort of advice can really throw him aff as hes here asking for our educated opinion.

Considering were supposed to know a little about these cars and their value we should try to keep it as realistic as possible.

I wont post in this thread anymore because its always becoming as debate and an argument and im sort of tired of it.

Thanks

The dealer who is selling these two sc's always has nice cars that usually gave low mileage and are in really good condition, most cars also come with a 4 year warranty covering almost everything from what i remember, still the prices are a tad high. To other posters here, you have to realize different markets call for different prices. I know here in New york where i am, sc's that were poster are about what they sell for here, also, them being stock is a plus in my mind. People buy these and start tearing them apart right away, its almost harder to find a stock sc then a modified one now a days
