Default Buying wheels/rims soon, anything i should be aware of??

Buying wheels/rims soon, but befor i do, is there some thing i should watch out for (total noob when it comes to this) i was told

20,show/no go
19, go/show
18, go

18's seem a tad bit small and i think 19's are perfect for my 92 sc! i was wondering if these wheels would look/fit nice and whats the depth of the wheel i should get and then add a spacer for a "flush" look

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/C6-CO...Q5fAccessories

give me opinions

When it comes down to it, none of those sizes are "go".
The biggest I would run on an SC are 19's, that's a maybe. That's me though.
18's have better tire selection and pricing.

The Vette wheels you listed use a different bolt pattern than the SC, 5 x 120 versus 5 x 114.3.

Offset, offset, offset...

19's are nice with a kit, otherwise probably 18s since its cheaper + cheaper tires something you may consider.

Our bolt patterns are 5x114.3 so look for wheels with that bolt pattern.

18's are the perfect median to be honest. I have 17's right now an with a nice profile tire it looks nice since my wheels are oem

i say - flock what everyone says and get whatever the flock you want.

i run 18s fronts and 19s rears.

and i have 17s as spares that are work VSXX that im gonna paint pink...

i dont even care about diameter, diameter means nothing.

i'd happily run 16s if they were 10 inches wide at front and 11 at rear.

heck yeah.

forget ride quality you won't even care when you see how good it looks yo.

If i were u op id go through the wheel/tire figment guide, its a sticky at the top, there ud be able to see what size, type/style and figment wheel you like and are willing to run as well as what is needed to run the rim without issue.

If ur looking to run another oem wheel off another Lexus or infiniti there's a thread for that also, im not sure if its a sticky or not but search it

Go through those two treads and decide what u like and can afford and go from there

my next set up will be 19 rears and 18 fronts, my car is going for looks so
-offsets, must be highest of 30 but no smaller than 20 in the rears i like wide tires and be flush lol, the fronts need to be a low offset highest 20
-diameter, i love 19s but i wanna try 18s in the front
-and width, 8.5 minimal in the front, 9.5 minimal in the rear

it depends what you are looking for,

If you're a 'noob' as you mentioned in your first post, you're not gonna understand any of the above posts..
- Research online what 'offset' is. This will determine how the wheel will fit on you're car and whether or not it sits flush.
- Your car takes a 5x114.3 bolt pattern so those Vette wheels wont work as SCHema mentioned already.
- There's a thread here somehwere thats entitled "other stock wheels on an SC" or something like that, so it'll give you an idea of what other wheels will look like on the SC since you're interested in these Vette ones.
- When you're buying rims you'll need to find yourself a tire that will fit the wheel AND car. You'll see measurements for tires that look like 255/18/40 or something. That all means something, reseach it.

Sorry I'm just at work right now so I dont have time to explain some of that stuff to you. I'll post you some links later if I get a chance.

It really depends on the look that you're trying to go for. Everyone has a different opinion on what "flush" is. Does flush to you mean you want a wide tire still, or do you want the wheels cambered out and have your car slammed to the ground to be flush?

Word of advice:
18's - no kit
19's - 97+ body or kitted (maybeeeee on a pre 97 in some circumstances)
20's - body kit

That's just speaking generally and I think most would tend to agree with me.
Do some research about widths and offsets; search the wheel and tire thread; it's not easy, but with time and effort you'll learn what fits and what doesn't.

And of course, listen to what everyone above me is saying.

personally im a firm believer that these sc's look best with a nice set of 20's.

I know many dont agree but the sc is a big car and the big 20's go very well in my opinion.

but in the end its all about what u want so just go with that

good luck

thieves, be aware of thieves. Get yourself an alarm, several wheel locks, etc.

Seriously, 18"s fit well and probably have the best performance on an SC.

With 19"s you should definitely roll your fenders and relocate your harness.

With 20's you look very "donk" unless you have a really big kit on your car. Lip kits won't cut it with 20's.

Hope that helps.
