I just got my car back from the body shop. They did an AWESOME job. I read some people have parts of their cars painted and it didnt match the restr of their car. When I saw my car it looked brand new. All the painted matched the old one. I dont know how they did such a great job on the color but it blends perfectly. They put one new headlight in which looks really gay. I need to clean or buy a new headlight. Here are some comparision shots of the two headlights. I cant believe the difference. At night my drivers side headlight alone lights up the road so well that I barely notice the passanger side headlight is even on. I need to buy a new one for the passanger side. I never new how nice these lights really were....well anyways here are some shots I took yesterday morning
This is the pass. side yellow headlight that I've tried to clean a million times. I even tried 1500 grit sandpaper and put 3M rubbing compound but it made no difference. I think it made it a little bit worse.
....ok I just tried to upload them but it says they're too big so I have to make them smaller. I dont have time right now but I'll get them up soon. In the mean time I have a couple of questions for everybody....
The pass. headlight is pretty yellow well most hazy than yellow. I clean it a few times so its better than before. The new light u dont see the light on the plastic cover at all. The old ones u can see it. Its the HUGE difference. I was wondering if I opened them and clean them would they look JUST like the new ones or some what close to them? I want them to be perfect. I got a free rim with the body work. Its basically brand new polished aluminim 16" rim. Its the stock one. If I sell that I could buy a new headlight and that would solve my problem. What do you guys think I should do. Should I open then the light housing and clean it or sell the rim and get a new headlight? It would be nice to keep that rim tho. Its nice. What do you guys think a used but refurbished by Lexus rim would go for? I havent went to ebay to see what everyone else is selling them for but I think you guys woudl know. Its used but in perfect shape. They did a great job making it just liek new again. I thought it was new until they told me.
Well tell me what you guys think I should do. I'm open to any suggestions.

Okay I finally got around to uploading the pictures on the members gallery place. This is the picture of the 7year old passenger side headlight which I tried to clean a few times. I thought it looked pretty good without opening the housing but wait till you see the new ones. This looks liek crap compared to that

Now if someone can help me out with this I'd be so happy. I dont know how it happened but when it rains I sometimes get condensation in the pass. side tail light. Its only happened 2 times that I know of. These pics are of teh second time. The first time it went away but I also sat out there with a hair dryer trying to get it out for about an hour. I guess it kinda worked since the water went away the next morning. I dont know if the hair dyer had anything to do with it or not

The tear in the back seat. I hope someone knows of a good place I can get this fixed at with a reasonable price. I dont even know why it happened. No one was sitting back there. Out of the blue I hear a ripping sound and the music was pretty loud and I look back and I see the seat ripped. I dont think the bass would be enough to do this but apparently it was

I guess you can call me dumb but what does this number mean. I doesnt look like the number for the chasis because if I remember correctly the chasis code is 1 UZ-Z30. This doesnt say 1 UZ-Z30 though.
I guess it doesnt really matter what is for but if you guys can check ur SC's and tell me if u have the same thing it would make me feel better.

Start with an easier method first;
Check out my Replies to the following link, to clean the inside of your Lamp, before you begin to take it apart.

Thats a good idea washing the whole thing with water and dishwasher soap so you dont have to take it apart. The only question I have is will it make it look like that new one? I'd like them to match.

If you wash it out a least twice, and then dry it out promptly,
followed by applying 3M cut/polishing compound to the outside
lense, dry, buff out to a shine, (repeat this also aleast twice). You will see a dramatic difference. Mine looked as good as new!
You will be impressed. The hard part is taking out the housing.
Good Luck!

Ya thats a good idea, I'll have to try that when I get a chance. Taking out the housing will be rpretty hard. I tried to do it before but I couldnt get it out. Then I read the other nut was behind the wheel well so I jsut gave up. Now I'm pretty determinded so when I can I'lll give it a shot. Its better than nothing.
Hey if anyone knows what I can do about the condensation please let me know. It looks so ugly and I really want to geet rid of it. Oh and if anyone knows what I can do about the rip in the bad seat let me know about that too.
Oh and what does the 1 UZ-Z83 stand for? I'm pretty sure its not that chasis code because I remember that being 1 UZ-Z30. Well if anyone knows let me know that, too.

PM for the wiring harness? I got that. I think I replied to it. I'm waiting for the weekend because thats probably when I'll go back home and get the car back from the body shop. I think they fixed the other harness though. I was driving it last weekend and the lights were working fine but I'll take a look at the harness again. I might get it just incase, but we'll see I need to check if the fixed it though. I'll PM you again after this weekend.
