I swear, most of you jokers cross over from POS Hondas or 240s and you think the L on the trunk puts you into a whole new world of class.

No. You bought an old *** Lexus. It doesn't make you cool. It doesn't look money. You're idiots for thinking it. It's not like a Vintage Bentley or something. It's a dime-a-dozen car that can (and is being) scooped up by ricer kids, ghetto bangers, and white trash.

****, I never want to sell my SC. I've had it for 7 years, but every now and then I want to just so I can't be associated with a chunk of other SC owners on this board.

+1 ... nice way to sum it up!

Man...2 diff cars. The mustang is geared to be quicker so if weight and power is the same and drivers are equal the betted gear rato would win. the new new v6 is a beast with 300 ish hp, close to 30mpg. I personally love mustangs. If I could afford a new gt I would be on it. Till then ill keep my 93 sc400. On another note...have you seen the mustang cobra super snake...800ish factory horsepower. Runs on pump gas...sign me up!

I totally agree.

I think the Mustang might win unless it's an automatic. You can add every performance mod to a stock SC300 and it would still be pretty slow. Having a 5-speed should help though. If the Mustang is an auto, you might win.

I dont appreciate being called an 'idiot' for telling him to have some pride in his Lexus.

Its good youre not happy to assiciate with a chunk of us because the feeling is quite mutual.

You dont have pride in your Lexus sc? dont put us down for being passionate about them.

I think its one of the nicest cars on the road, not because i own one but because ive liked them ever since i saw one, and your only argument against it is its age.

Cost doesnt matter the Lexus is a classy sports car, supposed to be a gentlemans car. to race it with hondas and v6 mustangs show just how low the sc has fallen in recent years.

Im sure the Honda and Mustang forums would appreciate youre company over there, perhaps you should give joining up a thought.

Okay look, yes, I take pride in my car. I want it to look nice and make a refined statement, but I also know my cars place. Its 16 years old, its legal to marry in most states with its parents consent. What I paid for it is closer to a monthly payment on it when new than the actual new price. Its NOT a status symbol, just like driving a 20 year old BMW, Mercedes, or Cadillac isn't a status symbol. Its an old car. Its a unique old car with loads of potential, but its still an old car.

Agreed 100%.

No one is saying its a status symbol.

if you bought this car thinking your goiong to look or feel rich than you were wrong.

BUT!!! doesnt mean you can start treating the car like a used rag just because it is getting on in years.

It is still a Lexus and still should be treated with respect.

Guys go to the mercedes, jaguar or even tbe Bmw forum and tell them your have a 96 model that your spray painting the whole interior or racing with your neighbors honda or mustang or tell them youve carbon fibred the whole interior and have neon lights on the liscence plate and under the skirts and see what answers you get.

The problem here is yes the value has dec reased because of the age and mileage and everyone is stilling back and watching the cars get ruined with ridiculous mods and treatment.

I for one think these are one of the great cars of the 90's and should be treated with a little more respect than they are being treated in some cases.

Sorry to the op because you have done nothing wrong here at all, sorry if u feel that anything im saying is directly related to you or your car as ive never even seen it.

im not saying this to be insulting but i get the feeling that 70%80% of the members actively posting here are teenagers.

To each is own on this one. Both cars are slow as *****. But when the wrong people get a hold of cars it can ruin peoples perspective of the car. I mean hey a 16 year old Lexus to me still looks better than a V6 Mustang And when these "old" Lexus's are done right/maintained peoples jaw drops over them, there beautiful cars.

Race wise its basically the driver on this one, hate to say it because I hate a Fake mustang (V6) lol but it might take ya.

What the hell is your guys problem??? A race is a race. You do it for enjoyment. DROP IT. And 1WILLY1 I'm not to sure what you meant by your post #20 but I was simply stating a previous experience to give reference to "what would win". This thread should have been called "Is it okay to race a mustang?"

I think you missed my point, and then proved my point all in the same post.

I didn't say they weren't nice cars. Mine is immaculate and it was when I bought it as well. But honestly, I can almost promise you that at at least half of the cars on this forum, even some always getting praised, are pieces of ****. Why? Because of the less than desirable demographics that are scooping up the nice ones and ruining they're own cars and any good image the model itself would have had. Hell, its like pulling teeth just to get a well written sentence to read anymore. I'm finding that many members either learned English as a second language or are just plain uneducated and dumb.

If you still disagree with me and don't see the truth in what I just said, then you're probably one of the idiots I'm referring to. Sorry to offend and open your eyes in that case.
