Assuming you are getting power to it...take the actual lighter piece out....and in the cylinder (the one still on the car...not the piece you take out)...there will be two little metal pieces on the left and right sides...pull them out (towards the middle of the cylinder). Those little pieces catch the lighter...and what happens is they get too far to the outside and thus dont catch the lighter.
One bad thing....be prepared to catch your lighter once it actually works...that thing does fly out of there like a bat out of hell. Anyone else's lighter fly out like that?
