so no body has head of the kool vue mufflers. looking for something that's lighter but doesn;t sound ricey and isn't to expensive. thought about using some cb turbo mufflers but those are more for trucks

Pretty sure I have the exact same ones in a 3" size on my SC400. They way they're mounted on mine, you can't see where it says 'magnaflow' on the tip. Got it done at a local shop for $150 including tips themselves and also cutting, bending, and welding 2 new pieces to make them sit closer to the bumper than the factory exits.

Here's mine for reference - You could probably go with 4" tips but 5" will likely be too big for the factory cut-outs.

I know someone on here has cut tips off of some aftermarket muffler and welded on new larger tips to resemble the 5zigen fireballs.

OP, have you thought about S2000 tips? A few SCs are running with those and they look absolutely amazing.... Although I am not sure how to go about sourcing just the S2k tips (maybe call a Honda dealership?)

Good luck. Definitely a good idea since not everyone wants a loud exhaust and that's understandable. The only person who would laugh is an ignorant moron, and you shouldn't pay attention to that type of folk anyway.

i want louder but not super loud just something a lil louder than stock trying to find something that looks and sounds good cost less than 100$ per muffler. but doesn't sound or look ricey

how big are the stock SC tips? like 3"?

i stand corrected.. i have thought about tips before while standing in the exhaust section in a parts house. but i assumed the performance hounds would start barking rice at me. fail.. assumptions aside it is a visual upgrade though i have always liked the angle cut on the stock tips. in for the before afters.

measured this mourning right after the Q was asked. just barely 3 5/8" if i can find a replacement muffler that doesn't look like a huge cannon im gonna cut off my tips and weld them to the new mufflers. i keep looking at flowmasters and magnaflow's but everybody has them but i've got 2 cherry bomb turbo's i keep thinking about using to replace the stocks.
