Default flushing stock 16" wheels

been having issues (i f'd up my lexus ) so im working on solving the problem. but thinking ahead after i get my stock rims polished. what size spacers will make them sit flush with the fenders using the factory tire size?

went through the search of 10 pages of posts but didn't get a def answer for the factory 16's. gonna stay stock as possible im falling in love with my car

at times i want to sell it and get 2 more 4x4 yota's. but when im driving it it's hard to even wanna let it go. so im def leaving it stockish

its going to look horrible trying to flush your stock wheels. It'll look like its on stilts. Keep in mind that you will probably need at least probably 30mm to get it even close to flush; at that point, you will need to invest in extended studs. If you aren't mechanically inclined, will end up spending $price of spacers + studs + labor to install them. Youre better off saving that for a set of bigger wheels.

i can instal the studs. i was just wondering how it would look and what the min spacer mm was. my gas mileage with the 17's i had wasn't bad but then i switched back to the 16's it went up. had more power and running the ac barely had much impact. i've seen the other threads on stock wheels on the sc just trying to use what i got while i work on finishing my engine. just thought there was some way to improve the stock appearance so the wheels dont seem so sunken in

Might as well get a set of 17" Supra TT wheels. It'll save you a lot of hassle.

30mm will bring you *close* to flush. my wife's SC had the factory 16's with 25mm adapters and it looked decent, for oem 6-spoke chrome wheels. car even handled a little better and looked better from behind.

if tweaking the stock is what you prefer, nevermind what anyone else says. its your car/choice.

I'm guessing you have those six spoke wheels that look kind of like Supra TT wheels?

A 30mm or 40mm spacer would help get them flush.

i agree, a set of TT wheels will give you that flush look you desire, retain an OEM look, be able to clear BBK if you decide to get them, and you can even put some fat tires on the back, up to 275s or maybe wider...so you see how many birds you will kill with one stone

gas mileage should not decrease with 17s as long as your overall tire height doesn't change, if you doing it right it should not. 16s flush do not look good, i had some 1st gen gs 16" stock wheels that i rode on in the winter and installed a set of 37mm rear and 25mm front spacers when i was running espilir springs...it didnt look so hot...even though it was " somewhat flush"

it's just that lil sunken look that's getting to me. i was running 17x7.5 with 245/45 mpg wasn't that bad it had tons of power using the ac lil a wee bit of more use. but when i switched back to the stocks with 255/55 its way better just doesn't ride as good as the 17's. im just trying to rock the stock look for now till i can figure out what's going on with my suspension. fix that and then im going after the exhaust, tinting my windows (im taking radiation treatments when im going down the road the sun burns my hand a lil from the window) and polish and clean up the stockers

as far as gas it's great now. but still sucks here in town they drive to slow. i can go from here in nc take hwy 221 to spartanburg sc, drive down to 85 go to gastonia and back to hickory nc, then back here to forest city. out of a full tank and still have close dead on to half a tank left. and drive around every where else in between for a few days before i need more. i still need to change the oil again, new plugs, wires
