would this eliminate the overdrive function? Or would you just move the button somewhere else?

i have the same thing done to my shifter.

you cant shift into 2nd and and 1st but i never did anyway. also overdrive is gone unless you want to somehow hook it up, again i never used it so i didnt bother. no CEL from doing this just a better overall interior look.

interesting but are there not ***** that have a button? in fact i had one many years ago. but it was an ugly billet one. im sure there has to be some decent ones out there. only thing i dont like about this is you have to murder the shifter. reducing resale value. if we could find a better looking auto shift **** from another model would be cleaner.

With the SC all you have to do is push down on the shiftknob and it will shift no button needed. Thats why I wanna do it so bad.

well i did a little searching and found these 2 ***** with a button. the rbx one has an overdrive button too and it was on ebay for 27 bucks. the other is a momo with no overdrive button. i would like the rbx better if it wasnt carbon fiber. question is it possible to swap the gated shifter into a 96 model? i looked for other oem auto ***** and didnt see anything that even remotely looked like it would fit without grinding the shifter. really want to ditch the ugly stock shifter on this thing but would end up settling for a black stock replacement. i found 1 but i think its overpriced. it is in my town just a few miles away though so may be worth it for pick up. its 150.00 dollars what you guys think overpriced?
