You may have a seized caliper in the rear. Put the car up on jack stands and leave the gear shift in neutral and rotate each of the wheels by hand. If one gives more resistance than expected, more than likely that's the side the issue is at. When you replaced the rear pads and rotors did either side show more wear than the other?

Were you able to compress the caliper piston back into the bore fairly easily or did it take quite a bit of effort?

If you were not able to compress the piston easily, that means the piston is seized in the bore causing the pad to maintain contact with the rotor. Fix: you can get a reman fairly cheap from all major parts stores or junkyards if available.

If you were able to compress the piston with little effort, more than likely the slide-pins are seized not allowing the caliper to revert to normal position in a similar fashion as a seized piston. Fix: local junkyard, ebay or classifieds for a caliper mount as the slides are part of this mount. Parts stores will not carry this mount. Worst case, you can try to work the slides loose and clean up the corrosion, then reassemble it while properly greasing it with wheel bearing grease.

As a tip: If you buy a reman caliper from autozone/strauss/whatever store is local to you, they will come with new slide pins so if uncertain about whats actually wrong or seized, you can just spend ~60 bucks and get a whole unit and hardware and have a sure fix.

If I remember correctly, the only piece of hardware they didn't come with was the bolts for the caliper bracket, the caliper bracket itself, and those annoying little rubber "nipple covers". None of those parts would cause your problem anyway.

You might be able to just get away with relubing the sliders. Sometimes it gets rusted and stops sliding. Take the caliper pins out, clean them up with a wire wheel and relube them!

http://www. auto parts warehouse.com...Passenger+Side

Theres a link to one of the cheaper online places to buy from. For whatever reason a bunch of the chain auto parts stores have them for ~$90+ not including core charge.

Hmmmm doesn't sound at all like your brakes then if your brakes were off and it still continues... check hub bearings, if not check the diff.

Did you make sure the dust shield isn't rubbing by any chance? Sometimes it's something as simple and stupid as that...
