Talking Check out my lip (wise on a 97), and I need advise

Ok I have loved the look of sticker bombed lips since the first one I saw.

I finally did it but my car is so low I have pretty much destroyed it in the first few weeks.

I've been collecting stickers for a while and finally obtained enough or what i thought was enough.

I started doing research on lips for our cars and found there are not a lot of options for the 97+. But thanks to this forum, I found a diy on how to make a pre 97 lip work on 97+.

So I did it to a Wise front lip off of eBay
it took me half a day to modify the lip and get it ready, painted the bondo and let it dry over night then did the sticker bomb the next day.

here are few pics

I took the next few pics the other day after someone asked for some pics, I have since ripped it off again and am thinking of going in another direction.

here is where it broke the first time, I wish I would have gotten pictures the first time put it on.

Now I have a couple options, and i need some advice as to which way I should go and why. if you don't like the sticker bombed look thats fine but don't try and talk me out of it. I know its not for everyone.

Option 1
Raise the car and put the lip I have back on. (which I would have done, but i really don't want to add to my wheel gap up front and i would probably have to raise it 2-3 inches to make it safe for the lip)

Option 2
and i don't know how it would look but i have considered sticker bombing the lower part of the oem bumper to give the look of a lip (the problem here is i do want to lower the front end at least an inch or two)

Option 3
this is what I am leaning towards but is the hardest to do and I still don't know how it will turnout and might really screw up my bumper if i don't like it
I am thinking of finding another stock bumper and cutting the bottom couple of inches off and zip tie stitching it to mine and sticker bombing that.
I know it will be a pain in the but, cuz thats a lot of holes to drill and a lot of zip ties, I would also most likely have to take off my bumper to do it right and thats a pain. And cutting off the other bumper would be very tedious because one mistake can screw it up.

So just let me know what you think and i am welcome to other ideas

If it has to have stickers I would say no lip. otherwise raise it up and use the lip you have... but first throw about 3 coats of sikkens clear on it, sand it smooth and re-clear it.. make it look puuuuurty

In the money you spent on stickers, you could have probably done something a lot more, productive? to your car.

But my opinion here is, slap the lip on, and keep it low. Just drive it around safetly.

to bomb the whole damn lip is excessive on a Street car.
Sticker bombing only belongs on Drift cars to cover up their battle scars. When i see that on a regular street car, i immediately think to myself you're "trying too hard" to get attention and i just laugh at it.

but its your car, so whatever, have fun with it.
I have seen way worse on this forum tbh.

I think your post is funny.

first off i really don't think there is a rule book that says this style can only be used on this type of car, but you can have that opinion if you like, and btw I kinda share it. I think it looks much better on drift cars than Civics and TCs.

but back to my car. it kinda is a drift car . I take it to drift events as often as i can, but i also drive and drift it daily on the street. so does that make it suitable for a sticker bombed lip or is that only for dedicated drift cars with body kits and motor swaps. lol just sayin

The stickers on that lip are fugly!!! Seriously WTF!

Joey-Es option #5, Take stupid stickers off of lip, fix and paint it, put it on to bumper.
Enjoy the nice looking lip.

This. The stickers look tacky, juvenile, and trashy.

But, it's your car. Do what you want. People with clean looking cars will just laugh at you and then you can make up some excuse to justify it to yourself because you saw someone doing the same thing online, and we all know that if a bunch of people have the same logos on their stickers, it has to be cool, tasteful, and respectable. That's just simple logic, right?

Happy modding.

If you really like that look I would have it reproduced to one piece of vinyl, pull the individual stickers off, fix the bumper then put the one-piece wrap on it.
