****** the police!!

 

yup mine told me the same thing. you would think a license plate is good enough to track down a hit and run for insurance but they leave it to the police and the police will not give you the persons address or phone number, they will handle it all like you described. i didnt really want to wait for all that so i googled license plate look up and for a small fee i was talking to the owner of the car about 30 min later.
The kicker is the phone number was for the parents and they had no idea their kid was in an accident at all. I got a quote for the damages and everything was worked out.

 

Yea I might do that or I just might wait for the police report which the FHP office is closed until Tuesday which is *****ing ridiculous then I can go pick up the police report & give it to my insurance & hopefully they will do something.

 

Are you contacting you Insurance agent or claims? If agent, don't waste your time. Just call up your claims department and they should be able to up the license plate number.

Always notify your insurance first, that way they can't point the blame to you.

Really smart move on the police report, I didn't do it and my case has dragged on for months now

 

i'd take a large group of ppl with me. video tape every thing and make them pay up and fix it. if not i'd beat their *** down till they did (but i'd wait till after the cops lay off) remind that f*er every day what's gonna keep happening till they pay or fix your car.

 

but then again you might be in luck and the lazy pigs will do their job and the insurance company will do their's
