A chicken vs. egg thing
After reading a lot of comments on here and rereading portions of the "Why did you get an SC" thread I've noticed something disturbing. Most people tend to think of the SC as the poor mans Supra and being made out of left over Supra parts. This slight got me to thinking about my beloved SC and I realized something important. The Soarer debuted in 1991, but the MKIV Supra didn't come out until 1993. In reality the Supra is the one made from borrowed parts, in fact, the SC parts were thought to be so well designed that they were used on Toyotas flagship sports car. So the next time some says that the SC is a Supra knock off remember which one came first.

I have to agree the sc is no second rate car granted we have some parts in our cars that are lesser than the supra but I like to think off the soarers as the supra older brother toyota made some improvment's with it's second child and just tryed different things. it's like me and my brother he's better at every thing he does but i'm no putts

I always bring this up when Supra guys start shooting their mouths off. They also forget that the Toyota Aristo(JDM GS300) had the 2JZ-GTE before the Supra.
I love the Supra, but I can't stand the owners sometimes...

This is the way I see it.
The SC went ahead in life and has retired.
The Supra is a professional athlete
The Aristo/GS300/400 is a college graduate already working in their field and heads to the gym
The IS300 is the youngest sibling that's tries to keep up with its older siblings
