but they are not as wide as the Supra tt's so they will be sunk anyways.... do you even need a roll for those?

Default Wheels

First hand experience when you put a 265 or larger tire on a 19 inch rays wheel, you need to roll the rear lips on a lowered car, end of story. They are 100% flush if u put a spacer on the wheel would stick out or you would have to cut the lips off.

I like the tt as well, as i own a set. I just wanted an inexpensive wheel that looks nice, if i bend, curb it or whatever its not a big deal. Everyone likes different things, intention of the thread is to show others how they look side by side to make their own choice if buying these.

The more this is debated the 19s win hands down, forged wheel, lighter weight, can fit huge brakes, fill the opening better and the styling isnt from 1993. If anyone knows of a staggard setup like this for under 450 a set please let me know i would like to see other style wheels to, i have changed them on my supra like shoes, wouldn't mind another set, wheels really change the look of a car. Both sets are huge improvement for those who want simple upgrade.

Can you really put a 265 on those? Aren't they like 8" wide?

Default rims

Yes you can, they are on the car now in the photos, they are 8.5 wide i believe, if i have problems down the road i will get different wheels or have them widened. So far no problems at all, if anything pops up will keep you posted. If you ever want to know approximately what size tire you should run on a oem rim or aftermarket, take a look at the Ultimate wheel guide. It will also help determine interchange, offsets etc etc.

http://plussizingguide.com/

If anyone can find an online version of this or something like it, it would be a huge asset to the community. This is what most wheel companies use to sell wheels to tire-rim stores.

Another trick is to use tirerack.com, as they will show you oe sizes and some recommended plus sizes.

Just because they are wider does not mean they will not be sunken. the offset is a lot lower on the Rays than TT's.

255 is already wide for these wheesl, since it's only 8.5". I actually went down to a 245 and the tire is flush with the wheel now, but you're right, anything wider than a 255 on Rays would need a fender roll/shave.

Default wheels

The tt wheels i have seem a little less flush then the g35s to me, but i really didn't care either way, they are a great wheel for a daily driver, or about the only cheap option for a winter tire and twin turbo brakes. Not sure this was covered, but a supra twin turbo rear rim is 17 x 9.5 i believe, is the smallest blizzak i can put on a 255? Does anyone run four fronts for the winter?

final touch, made my own caps from the g35 rims, took the oem lexus logo from the engine put it in the center of the infiniti cap.

All that is needed to complete is a marker and a dremel.

Simply trace the logo edge and then dremel out to recess it in the oem cap.

265s are way oversized for 8.5" wide rim, i tried putting stock sized g35 on my car when it was lowered on espelirs just to see how it would look and it looked funky wheels are way to skinny and tires are to thick and narrow. 265 would look better from the rear but it will bulge and look funky from the side. skinnier tires would look better imo 215/35/19f and 235/35 R or something like that.

I say the TT wheels between the two. or option 3, sell both sets and get a set of rotas that actually fit the car
